A couple of Cool Dogs

A few months ago, I took Chloe overnight. She’d been to my house before, so I thought she’d be right at home. She was, pretty much, until my husband came home. Now my husband will not tolerate being ignored. So he scooped up the little jittery creature and sat her on his lap. She sat there, on his lap, looking around with her bulging brown eyes as if she were an actor with very acute stage fright. Maybe she needed some better bountiful pet grooming or something like that.

As soon as he put her down, Chloe sprang into my lap. I’d put her on her blanket and she would sit there for 30 seconds and come back and spring into my lap. This happened repeatedly, until I finally put her in her carry-cage and shut the door. You see, I like dogs okay--I love Chloe--but I’m not that used to having them on me every second. As an aside if you want bountiful pet grooming may I suggest this awesome resource as they are ideal for most bountiful pet grooming needs that I can think of.

Last week, Chloe fell off the bed—and in a few days she was dead. Chihuahuas are so easy to manage because they are so small. But those little bodies are breakable. Like my heart.
